Very clean inn and very friendly staff and innkeeper. Location is perfect! Just a block to the beach and a short stroll to downtown South Haven. Just across the street is a beautiful park and a small convenient store. Breakfast is wonderful, with different hot items made daily. Every day breakfast includes: bagels, toast, muffins, cereal, and fresh fruits, juices, coffee, and tea. Kudos to the chef! Inn is kept very very clean, you can tell the innkeeper works her behind off keeping it that way. Only 2 drawbacks come to mind: First, the room we stayed in desperately needs a new mattress; and the linens, although fresh and clean, need to be replaced. (Room 1) Secondly, the price is quite high.... I would think a fair price would be about $50 less per night; considering the extremely high competition in the area. Overall I was pleased, I will consider staying there again. (But will have to consider budget first; as it is not a tremendous value.)

PROS: Great location two blocks from the beach! The street is relatively quiet as well. They have snacks out in the evening (pretzels, mini sandwiches, hummus, salsa etc) and leave cookies out before the innkeepers leave for the night. Breakfast consisted of yogurt, fresh fruit, home-baked goods, and two hot casserole dishes. They have a Keurig with coffees and teas. The innkeepers were very nice. CON: The rooms are a little musty, so kept windows open (was disappointed they shut the windows when the freshened the room as we had the air set to 75* so it wouldn't turn on, yet they turned the air cooler and shut the windows--making the room musty again). It would be nice if they had please do not disturb signs as we didn't need our room made-up everyday (but I've never been one to like rooms being touched up during shorter stays).

We had a very lovely and cozy stay at a very reasonable price (our room was discounted from the regular advertised price). The location is fantastic, one block from the beach, and three blocks from downtown. The "gourmet breaskfast" includes toast, bagel, muffins, cereal, granola, yogurt, fresh fruit, coffee, juice, tea and then 2 warm items that vary daily. The house has a great front porch with comfortable seats. I loved the bath products they used too. We stayed in the very lovely Trellis room with a king bed, fireplace, private deck, and private entrance. My only small complaint would be that it is right off the kitchen and so you obviously here them making breakfast in the morning, clanging plates etc. Not that it is overly noisy but if you are someone who wants to sleep in and sleeps light, choose a different room. We were not overly bothered by it. One other small complaint is the shower head, it needs to be cleaned so that the spray is more even. (easily fixable) I would definitely stay here again!

Nice, little B&B. Clean, great location. Choose one of the rooms on second or third floor for privacy.

We had four couples stay for two nights recently. Everyone, especially the wives, loved the place. The rooms were nice, the balconies were great and the breakfast was also great. Has a nice (small) pool with a sunbathing deck that was really nice. Everyone is looking forward to a return trip next year.
